Welcome to Brinsworth Art Group (BrAG)

BrAG is a well-established art group based in the village of Brinsworth in South Yorkshire, England. Brinsworth is situated close to the River Rother between Rotherham (to the north-east) and Sheffield (to the south-west).

We’re an enthusiastic bunch of amateur artists with a mix of abilities and styles. We have some structured, tutored sessions and ones that are less so! Members are always willing to share their skills and methods and offer advice.

Meetings are held weekly throughout the year in a small, but perfectly formed parish church, St Andrew’s, opened in 1886. We have a range of activities: demonstrations, workshops, gallery visits, sketching outings and more. We display and sell work at regular exhibitions in local venues.

Our informal, friendly sessions are held on Mondays, from 1.30 pm to 4 pm at St Andrew’s Church, 85 Bonet Lane, Brinsworth, Rotherham, S60 5NF.

All abilities are welcome and there’s no selection process to join. Numbers are restricted though and priority is given to people who live locally.

For enquiries about joining or exhibition dates and venues, please contact the Secretary (see Contact page).
